VISHING SCAM ALERT!
We've recently learned that some of our members have been contacted by scammers pretending to be from the credit union. These vishing (voice phishing) scams involve fraudsters asking for sensitive personal information over the phone.
Please stay vigilant and protect yourself from these types of scams! Here’s what you need to know:
How to Protect Yourself:
- NEVER share personal information over the phone: We will never ask you for personal information such as account numbers, passwords, or PINs via phone or email.
- Hang up and call us directly: If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and contact us using Coast360’s official phone number 671-477-8736. We’re here to help!
- Watch for red flags: Scammers may pressure you to act quickly, offer “limited-time” deals, threaten you with fees, or ask for unusual payment methods.
- Verify caller ID: Scammers may spoof legitimate phone numbers, or manipulate the call ID to display a trusted phone number (such as your credit union’s number) in order to trick you into answering or sharing sensitive information. Hang up and contact us using the official phone number 671-477-8736.
- Report suspicious calls: If you think you've been targeted by a scammer, let us know immediately so we can help safeguard your account.
